About the PTSA

PTSA stands for Parent Teacher Student Association. The core functions of the PTA/PTSA are to build community, help our teachers & principal, and to enrich the lives of our children.
PTA/PTSA  connects families and schools . We encourage communication and cooperation between parents, communities and schools to ensure that children and youth receive the best possible physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

PTA/PTSA is a nonpartisan, nonsectarian and noncommercial organization that promotes the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.
What does the PTSA do?
We use proceeds raised from membership and active and passive fundraising programs to fund certain school staffing, department expenses (i.e. supplies, clubs, counseling), student and parent events and teacher appreciation efforts. The organization works throughout the year to support the school and community.

We recommend all families take a look at the areas of focus for the California State PTA (CAPTA). Here you'll find a wealth of information on advocacy, family engagement, education, health & community concerns and more!
