Welcome back for the 2018-2019 School Year!
RMS will be holding our annual Arena Day on Friday, August 17th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the cafeteria and lower gym to help students prepare for the first day of school. Students and families can turn in paperwork, receive their class schedules, sign up for the PTSA, register for the BEACON after school program, and buy a yearbook as well as Trojan gear. School starts on Monday, August 20th, and the RMS PTSA is excited to welcome new and returning families to the 2018-2019 school year at Roosevelt Middle School! Please join us on May 21st at 6:30 to celebrate another incredible year. We will have a very brief business meeting and plenty of time for eating and socializing! The PTSA will provide appetizers, and kids are welcome. Half of the proceeds will come right back to RMS! See you there!

Our final Staff Appreciation Event will be a luncheon to celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 chaired by Robert Lam and Inez Gordon. Tacos and Tequila 5/5, 6-10 PM Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and the impending end of the school year with this classic RMS party. THANK YOU, TROJANS for getting us closer to our goal of raising $100,000 for our Annual Fund! At our deadline the evening of February 25th, we hit $71,049 with 214 individual donations! With matching employer funds beginning to come in, we will hit even closer to our admittedly ambitious goal!
Classroom Competition Results: We had a tie and therefore are awarding 4 rooms! Ms. Buntichai, Ms. Kuo, Mr. Vuong, and Ms. Sevilla’s classes will enjoy an ice cream treat in the upcoming weeks. The donation door is never closed. Please know that you are always able to donate. In addition, you can use our Amazon link, as well as give Roosevelt’s name at Sports Basement to passively raise funds. ALL levels of giving are encouraged and welcomed. This is the spirit, what it’s all about, a helping hand, pitching in.
We cannot do this without YOU!  Looking for a Valentine? Timing is EVERYTHING! The RMS Trojan happens to need a Valentine, too!We are in the final weeks of our ROOSEVELT ANNUAL FUND, which ends February 15th! Annual Fund Goal: $100,000 Donations to Date: $ 21,730 ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Amount Still Needed to Reach Goal: $78,270 by February 15th We have received many, many generous donations but not nearly enough to hit our goal. Every contribution counts no matter how large or small. We are asking for 100% participation to help us reach our goal of $100,000. Have you made your contribution yet?
