MLK Day of Service

Participate in a Day of Service with many options to serve our community.  Roosevelt Middle School will host stations on-site on this day from 10:00am - 2:00pm where you can do any of the following:

• "I like turtles" Plastic Straw Exchange - bring in any plastic straws you have lying around the house, turn them into art, and get sustainable straws in return.
• Classic Community Clean Up - join a team to give Arguello Blvd. a face lift!
• One Warm Coat Drive - bring a new or gently used coat for a man, woman or child as our neighbors without homes or shelter face a rainy spring.
• "Just What I Wanted" Kits - help us assemble bags of toiletries, socks and well wishes for our neighbors without homes or shelters in the Tenderloin.

At 1:00pm we will gather in the auditorium to listen to Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech.
