For the month of October, local restaurant Lazy Susan will donate 10% of net sales from the Roosevelt community back to our school! Help a small business while also helping RMS and enjoying delicious Chinese food. Here's what to do:
About Lazy Susan: Lazy Susan's co-founder Tiffany grew up in her family's Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh. Together with Hanson, the other co-founder, they brought Lazy Susan to life during the pandemic as a pop-up. With its success, they established a store-front in West Portal serving families throughout San Francisco. Hanson's kids went to CIS and RMS, and are both in Lowell now. He designed this give-back program to raise money for local schools. We're looking for parents and staff to host Sign-Me-Ups this school year. SMUs raise money for the PTSA and build community. You can host a hike, a dinner, a guitar lesson, or really anything you can dream up. The event can be family-friendly, adults-only, or kids-only. If you want to host one, but don't have an idea or a partner, please let us know and we can connect you. Interested? Email Emily Fancher.
Want some inspiration? Check out our available Sign-Me-Ups here. Our Annual Fund Drive (AFD) is our largest and most important fundraiser of the year. During the AFD we ask for financial donations from the community. As a public school, Roosevelt cannot provide the educational experience desired by families, teachers and students by relying solely on government-provided funds.
