The 2022-23 academic year has been challenging in many ways for Roosevelt teachers & staff including ongoing district payroll issues, classroom overcrowding and staffing shortages. One way RMS families can support their kids' teachers directly is by fulfilling some of their requests for program materials and supplies.
Our Annual Fund Drive (AFD) is our largest and most important fundraiser of the year. During the AFD we ask for financial donations from the community. As a public school, Roosevelt cannot provide the educational experience desired by families, teachers and students by relying solely on government-provided funds.
It's no secret that teachers are super-humans. These incredible individuals interface with our kids daily, and play important roles in shaping their futures. Between meticulous lesson plans, meaningful guidance, preparation and patience, there are countless reasons why educators, school administrators and staff deserve our appreciation. While elbow bumps and individual tokens of thanks are always welcome, the PTSA has resources to do more for them - we just need people to make it happen.
